At Rooted Therapies, our core mission has always been about fostering healing, growth, and meaningful connections within our community. Recently, we’ve had the honor of celebrating significant milestones that highlight our dedication to these values—specifically, receiving the Rookie of the Year award from the North Port Chamber of Commerce, a standout moment for Rooted Therapies, as well as the incredible experience we had at the North Port Wellness Fair. These events reflect our ongoing commitment to serving our community, spreading positivity, and helping people heal in mind, body, and spirit.

Rooted Therapies Wins Rookie of the Year: A Milestone of Dedication and Service

We’re thrilled to announce that Rooted Therapies has been honored with the Rookie of the Year award from the North Port Chamber of Commerce. This recognition highlights our journey in our first year of service and our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality therapeutic care to the community. The award acknowledges the hard work and passion of our entire team, led by Founder and CEO , who has helped create a welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come to heal, grow, and connect.

This honor is not just a recognition of our achievements; it’s a reflection of the trust and support we’ve earned from our clients and the local community. We’re excited to continue building on this momentum, expanding our services, and deepening our impact. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the support of the people we serve—thank you for being part of our journey.

“When people grow to understand and then appreciate one another, their opportunities are limitless!”
—Lisa Rowe, Founder of Rooted Therapies

Leanne at the North Port Wellness Fair: Engaging the Community

In addition to events listed above, a member of the Rooted Therapies team, had the opportunity to connect with the community at the North Port Wellness Fair. At this event, Leanne set up a booth to share the services we offer, answer questions, and engage with local residents about mental health and wellness. It was an incredible opportunity to spread the word about Rooted Therapies and the positive impact we’re making in the community.

One of the highlights of the day was the Gratitude Tree we featured at our booth. The tree encouraged fairgoers to reflect on the positive aspects of their lives and share their gratitude with others. Attendees were invited to write something they were grateful for on a note and stick it onto the branches of the tree. The result was a beautiful, vibrant display of thankfulness and connection.

The Gratitude Tree was more than just a fun activity—it was a reminder of the importance of practicing gratitude and its powerful effects on mental and emotional well-being. It also sparked meaningful conversations and connected people on a deeper level. Gratitude is an essential tool for maintaining a positive mindset, and we were thrilled to provide an interactive way for the community to reflect on what they appreciate most.

“Gratitude has the power to shift our perspective, reminding us of all that we have in our lives. It’s a simple yet effective practice that nurtures well-being, connection, and joy.”
—Leanne Shevchenko, Rooted Therapies

Rooted Therapies Community Engagement: Training and Collaborations

This month Lisa Rowe gave a training at Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota, where she shared insights on the importance of healing, community-building, and the power of mutual support.

“Healing is not just an individual journey—it’s a collective effort. When we come together, we elevate one another, and that’s where true transformation begins.”
—Lisa Rowe, Founder of Rooted Therapies

This amazing organization works tirelessly to provide safe, affordable housing for families in need. We’re particularly excited to highlight Christina McCauley, CEO of Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota, whose leadership is helping to create lasting change in our community. Together, we can make an even greater impact, supporting families and individuals on their journey toward stability and wellness.

Next month will be giving a talk on Meditation and Coping Skills to City of North Port employees. This session will focus on practical techniques to help individuals manage stress, improve focus, and cultivate inner peace. We’re honored to offer these sessions and provide tools for enhancing mental and emotional well-being in both personal and professional settings.

Building Stronger Connections: Looking Forward

The Rookie of the Year award, Lisa’s talk, Leanne’s experience at the Wellness Fair, and the success of our Gratitude Tree all reflect the heart of what Rooted Therapies is about—community engagement, support, and growth. These moments are not just milestones; they are part of our ongoing journey to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.

As we continue to move forward, we remain committed to providing high-quality therapy services, building relationships within our community, and fostering a culture of gratitude and positivity. We will continue to participate in local events, connect with other like-minded organizations, and create opportunities for people to heal and grow.
